Drumming

djembeI play a drum from West Africa called a Djembe. My teacher Annagret Baier is in a group called Inanna, Sisters in Rhythm and in addition to the Djembe they play other African percussion instruments like the Kpanlogo, Doundounba, Kenkeni, Sanjgba, Balafon (African Xylophone), Kalimba (thumb piano), shekeres, and several bells and other small instruments. The next percussion instrument I want to learn to play is an Irish Frame Drum called the Bodhran. This is a link to one of many Drum store where these instruments can be found commercially.
